Community Outreach Musicales Participation Rules
• Community Outreach Musicales are open to all well-prepared students to play one or two pieces not to exceed three minutes total.
• Each teacher may enter as many as 6 students per program.
• Compositions need not be memorized.
• Music performed at Holiday Musicale must be appropriate to the season.
• Students will not be included on a Musicale if their application arrives too late for inclusion on the program. The Chair will notify the teacher.
• Teachers are responsible for informing students (and their parents) about the Whittier Branch Dress Code. A student who violates the Dress Code will not be allowed to perform. Note: Teachers serving as Presenters are also asked to dress per the Dress Code.
• Performers must arrive 10 minutes before the start of the program to be seated as directed by the Program Presenter.
• Students and their families are asked to remain throughout the entire Musicale program and to respect the dignity of the occasion.
